Outter shell is available in multiple, individual, unique shell sizes. Long oval shell shape is more sleek and aerodynamic without looking like the Great Kazoo. The Seer S1606 is a FULL 16 oz. / 1 lb. lighter than most 3/4 helmets. • Dual-Density Conehead Styrene Liner - Five piece, dual-density, cone head EPS styrene liner combined with traditional EPS styrene foam is molded together to create a special conehead styrene EPS liner. The result is less mass and an overall lighter helmet. Each cone offers increasing resistance and energy absorbtion as the impact hazard collapses the energy management material. Conehead’s secondary benefit comes from the two different foams, molded in two different densities. The liner uses two different densities of foam as well as two different foams with their own characteristics of recovery from impact and inter-foam bond strength. The dual densities can be noted by the white and dark areas of the cutaway liner. This molding arrangement allows us to place very low density foam on the inside of the liner, against the users head. Recent research has demonstrated that the level of impact that can result in concussion may be much lower than previously estimated. This low density foam reacts to much lower impacts and thereby offers increased protection from routine bumping that goes on in the daily rigors of Motor Officers. • Front and Rear Air Vents - The S1606 features the largest air intake vents of any other helmet. 1/2” air intake holes allow more cool, fresh air inside the helmet. Air channels molded into the EPS liner allow the air to move from the front to the rear of the head. This allows the air to move freely throughout the helmet to flush hot, humid air off the head and out the rear of the helmet therefore keeping the head cool and comfortable. Other helmets do not have air channels, and this causes the air to be blocked from reaching the rear of the head. • Comfort Liner and Ear Rolls - Inner comfort liner and ear rolls are removable, washable, and replaceable. It is made from soft, plush moisture wicking material, open cell foam, and breathable mesh which keeps the users head and face cool and comfortable. Multiple comfort liner and ear roll sizes are available for a custom fit no matter the head and face shape or size. • Finish - Outer shell is painted to meet individual department specifications. Durable Polane paint is stronger than Lacquer and is resistant to chipping. Automotive urethane clearcoat provides a smooth, gloss finish. Department supplied decals can be applied to painted surface under clearcoat during painting process.
